I am Assistant Professor of Political Science at Colorado State University–Pueblo and Director of the university’s Center for the Study of Homeland Security.

My studies emphasize international relations, there entailing a broad spectrum within: conflict processes; bargaining; and theory of war and peace.       Specifically, my research agenda investigates questions in the following areas:

  • Warfighting and inter-state war dynamics.
  • Interactions between third parties and warring nations.
  • Battlefield dynamics and strategic use of force during war.
