I am Assistant Professor of Political Science at Colorado State University–Pueblo and Director of the university’s Center for the Study of Homeland Security.
My studies emphasize international relations, there entailing a broad spectrum within: conflict processes; bargaining; and theory of war and peace. Specifically, my research agenda investigates questions in the following areas:
- Warfighting and inter-state war dynamics.
- Interactions between third parties and warring nations.
- Battlefield dynamics and strategic use of force during war.
In addition to the aforementioned research, I also have an active interest in teaching in the realms of international relations and security. Please see my teaching page for more detailed information on topics I have taught and would like to teach.
